PUTKI – Lampi (34x20cm – Grey)

61.990kr.

The Putki lamp was originally made by a collective that included Iittala and was led by designer Matti Klenell for the re-opening of Sweden’s Nationalmuseum in Stockholm. The massive glass lamps were placed in the windows of the museum’s restaurant. Iittala scaled the Putki lamp for a new collection created by Matti Klenell that features a large mouthblown glass lantern in three complementary colours. The Putki lamp’s elegant grey glass shade was mouthblown at the Iittala Glass Factory in Finland. The impressive size and simple design add a clean sophistication in any interior while the warm glow from the Putki lamp creates harmony. Powder coated steel/terracotta coloured feet.

Putki

Designer Matti Klenell was appointed as Creative Director in the renovation of the Restaurant & Café at the Swedish National Museum in Stockholm. In the extensive project, over 21 companies cooperated in creating more than 80 new products. Iittala Glass Factory partnered in the project with its unique, handmade Putki lamps. The massive glass lamps were placed in the oversized windows of the museum’s restaurant.

Iittala scaled the Putki lamp for a new collection created by Matti Klenell that features an impressively sized mouthblown glass lantern in three complementary colours: clear, copper and grey. The vertical lines and clean shape create simple sophistication in any interior while the soft glow from the Putki lamp brings calm.

Since 1881, Iittala has been dedicated to inspiring better living. What began as a glass factory in a small village in Iittala, Finland has grown into an internationally known brand that has played a decisive role in defining the Nordic way of life. The cornerstones of Iittala’s design are timeless aesthetics, high quality and functionality. We believe people should have the right to expect their design items to last a lifetime and that Iittala items never go out of style. Our designs are made to be used, day in and day out, for generations to come.
