Iittala ‘TEEMA’ – Diskur (26cm – Vintage Blue)

Iittala’s Teema plate, part of the iconic eponymous tableware collection, can be used for anything, basically: as a dinner plate, for serving or even for cooking, as the plate is oven-proof. The medium-sized plate’s blue, vintage-inspired hue mimics the collection’s original colour palette from 1952, and to further honour the original series, then called Kilta, Iittala has also given the plate a semi-opaque glaze that varies slightly depending on the item’s shape. Each vintage blue plate is therefore unique.

Arabia ‘MOOMIN’ – Diskur (30cm-FRIENDSHIP)

Friendship línan frá Moomin er skreytt myndum úr bók Tove Jansson frá árinu 1960, Who will comfort Toffle? (Hver vill hugga Krílið? í þýðingu Þórarins Eldjárns). Friendship línan sem kom fyrst út árið 2015 inniheldur krús, krukku, könnu, fat, stóra skál og stóran disk.

Iittala ‘ULTIMA THULE’ – Diskur (19cm)

Inspired by the melting ice in Lapland, the Ultima Thule is design legend Tapio Wirkkala’s most famous work. Wirkkala originally created the surface of Ultima Thule in the 1960s after carving into a graphic mold. Ultima Thule is an exclusive design which reflects the thousands of hours spent perfecting the glass-blowing technique required to produce the effect.

Arabia ‘MOOMIN’ – Diskur (19cm-TRUE TO ITS ORIGINS)

The ‘True to its origins’ Moomin plate was launched in the Fall of 2017. This plate is part of a series of porcelain products that reflect Tove Jansson’s own journey through life. She wrote her last Moomin book late in November, shortly after her mother died. During this time, she withdrew from public life to deal with her grief, whilst experiencing difficult feelings of loss and sorrow. True to its origins is a reflection of this period in Tove Jansson’s life.
